Robert Coleman Trussell
Robert Coleman Trussell was born in Kingsville, Texas and was raised on a farm six miles south of town. He often heard freight trains rocketing down the tracks 50 yards from his childhood home, as well as coyotes, jet fighters and the occasional "Quit that crying or I'll give you something to cry about."
His first album, TEXAS GOTHIC, became a minor hit on the roots/alt-country circuit in Europe in 2005/2006, and made it on to the playlists of a few US stations too, including National Public Radio, Whole Wheat Radio in Alaska and Third Coast Music in San Antonio.
JUICE & JIVE will appear on the scene in July 2008. Like Texas Gothic, JUICE & JIVE was co-produced by fiddler Kelly Werts. Unlike Texas Gothic, JUICE & JIVE features harmonies by the ethereal-voiced Rachel Ries.
Trussell lives in Kansas City with his wife Donna, a writer.
